Introducing DivergentNM

DivergentNM is a brand new tv show offered on Public Access – Comcast Channel 27 that centers issues of behavioral health, trauma, healing and medicinal cannabis. Co-hosted by Dre Abeita, Ph.D. Candidate, researcher, life coach and Real Life Isleta Pueblo Superhero and Greg Abernathy, behavioral therapist and medical cannabis consultant. This show is created, written, produced, edited, directed and hosted by neurodivergent peoples. DivergentNM aims to provide resources, information, and educational opportunities for our New Mexico family, while highlighting the work of our community leaders.

Meet your DivergentNM Hosts

Dre Abeita & Greg Abernathy

We are honored to be your co-hosts for DivergentNM. Dre Abeita, soon-to-be Dr. Dre, is an Indigenous, queer, multiple-trauma survivor diagnosed with panic attacks, depression, anxiety PTSD, ADHD, and OCPD, who is also a medical marijuana researcher, professional civil rights advocate and critical race theory (CRT), whiteness, and intersectional activist/scholar. Greg Abernathy is a behavioral health therapist and medical cannabis consultant.
